Our day at the sea

We drove from Norwich to the sea. I will not discuss the driving except to say that it was without incident.

We arrived at the Blakeney Quay and bought a take-away sandwich of ham. brie and red pesto.

We then hiked out onto the sort of dike made in  the 16 century to separate the sea from fresh water land-- hence the name Blakeney Freshes.
Here we are looking towards the North Sea.  The wind through the grasses made a noise unlike any other--  like wind through straw.

We hiked along the top of the dike.

And stopped to eat our lunch out of the wind.
We were both there.  Eric

and me
We walked about 4K along the sea, then turned inland to find a fruit stand with tasty fruit.
After a pint of rasberries, we headed home.

Onwards.
