First, a house-keeping detail-- You can now follow-by-email by entering yours here:
I will not sell or distribute. At the moment, I am not quite sure how to even get. But by following I will know you (Marty, Jean, Gib, Joan, Alice, Eric) are there which is helpful and reassuring. I thank you very much for your support.
Now onto the technical--
After 27 posts I am finding that I want to make changes, big and small, in the layout and presentation of this web log. I want an easy email-follow (Blandy) gadget. I want things centered, embedded (Eric), organized as I think, links to open in a new tab. I want to change that annoying orange B. I want not every post to load, so I need an archive-- a sensible archive, I want things to be where I think they should be and be rid of that useless "Subscribe: Atom" link at the bottom. I want to let you (Ann) muse out loud about the monkeys.
So I got a book. From the library.
The US $dollar does not go far here so most every purchase is debated and evaluated. As anyone (Sally) who has set up house in another country knows obtaining the library card is not without its hurdles: get Norwich Council Tax Bill, pay Norwich Council Tax Bill, go to library, remember phone number, oh no, book checked out, learn how reserve.
Yesterday I got the book.
Well, turns out I am not a dummy. I just need to know the language.
Free blogging services have their limitations, but I have lucked out. Blogger (in contrast to say WordPress) allows users to freely edit the code behind both the template and the post.*
So I am learning html and a bit of CSS.
Now I can center-embed this cool vid of the advert for the movie-must Contagion. The acknowledgement opens in a new tab.

Wash your hands and keep in mind the difference between viral and a bacterial infection.
I suppose following the rules will help.
Onwards.
