Twttr

I have found Twitter.  Yes, I am aware that it has been around since 2006 so, yes, I am late to the party.  Hey I am 51. But never mind that.  *I* have found Twitter.

How?  Well this gets even weirder.

Over winter break I learned that the best running store in the world Bull City Running is sponsoring a Year of Running contest.

Run, tweet your run, repeat, every day for one year.

You say: these one-year challenges are silly, cheesy, funny and stupid.
I say: Yes, Yes, Yes and Yes.
Still (or perhaps "because of") I decided to Just Do It.

Could you make love to your spouse every day for a year?  Sorry, already been done.

As of today, 27 Jan, I have run 26 times.  I have tweeted 26 times. Today I will run to Dozens for bread and to place an order for Alice's Sunday sleepover breakfast.  Then I will tweet.  Tomorrow I will run the parkrun.  Then I will tweet. Sunday I will run a 'hood lap after our obligatory country walk. Then I will tweet. And so on.  Blandy says it takes 3 weeks to make a habit.  OK I hab-it.  Spot on, B!

My junior year in high school I told my mom that I was going to the prom with Roy G Biv.  She replied: Oh is he a new boy at school?  That was one of those moments when you, smart-ass teenager, think you are smarter than your mom, experienced and wise.  WRONG.  But the story has given me a great way to teach the colors of the rainbow. You will get full credit from me if, on a test, you reply to the  Roy G Biv question:  Mrs Ward's prom date.

On run 26 I saw a beautiful Roy on an otherwise dark moment that afternoon...

Excellent separation of colors

....then signs of spring...

croci

...then a bigger Roy as the clouds cleared.

Still raining where I stood to take this picture.

Yesterday afternoon late we went into the city for a hair cut, a bike pump then met EW for dinner.  Sky now totally clear. Awesome moon-Venus conjunction.

Behind the dome of the Norwich Forum is visible.

So back to Twitter.  Through this running and tweeting, I have fallen in to the Rabbit Hole and found out all kinds of interesting things about Norwich.  Granted, many are more interesting to the 21-year-old bar hound in me (where is she?) or a pull at the mommy in me,  but some involve risque windowscapes, new vocabulary (bolthole?), where the best coffee is and a 2-fer deal on lunch.    Twitter is like having your gossipy girlfriend in your computer.  Thankfully, you can shut her up without offense.

Or can you?
